However, for me, PRICE plays a huge role when I write a review about a product. And of course the performance. For me they share equal billing. The price of this item is simply incredible-even cheaper than some plastic ones-and yes, it is Aluminum! (not the keys)
As another reviewer said I definitely was expecting a perfect 'clamp-on' fit, but it is more of a 'snug yet a little loose' fitting. that being said, it not only protects the screen nicely when they are put together, but stops the power button from being pushed by accident. My last 2 tablets had those buttons that were easily pushed, when in standby the screen comes on when the button is pushed, and sometimes even unlocks, an annoyance and battery waster.
As another reviewer said, the bluetooth connection is flawless, connected almost immediately. And if I turn the switch on and off on the keyboard to save battery, it connects when I turn it on! Awesome, don't have to re-pair it or open settings to reconnect-HUGE bonus.
A great thing also is that even when the keyboard and my tablet or together and 'closed', I can still charge the tablet, the keyboard is designed to allow the connection anyways.
Drawbacks are the way it fits, doesn't necessarily adhere. Another CON is the color. The keyboard is a very light metallic aluminum color, and my tablet is a dark gun-metal brushed aluminum. They do not match. However, as I said the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.
Oh and another reviewer said something about incorrect typing? Absolutely untrue for me, every character types perfectly. No issues in that dept.
All-in-all, I'm surprised some people attack something that is so cheap, unless it works poorly, which this does not. It could be better, but for the twenty five bucks that I spent, I am astonished at what I got for it. Thanks!

The keyboard is still going strong, AND I DO NOT USE THE RUBBER BAND ANYMORE! HAHA , had to post that because I got some grief for leaving 4 stars even though I used one. As I said, it stays relatively together, but does not "clip" or "snap" into place, mostly just adheres a bit, hard to explain in words. Another issue, the plasticky rubbery pieces that hold the tablet upright and vertical are starting to bend from the pressure of holding the tablet, probably wont last long. Other than that, I still use it daily, get lots of compliments, battery still lasts forever. A fantastic buy!

Previous reviewers must have the older Galaxy Tab model, because this DOES snap onto the new Galaxy Tab 10.1 model. In fact, it's kind of hard to get them apart. You will have no worries about it falling off. This keyboard makes the Galaxy Tab 10.1 just like a mini-laptop. I like the option to use it with or without the keyboard. I have not had a problem with it typing the wrong letters. I have only charged the battery once & have not had to recharge it yet, since it turns itself off when not being used. The keyboard has your 4 main screen keys at the top, left, & it is nice to use those instead of having to touch the screen. I could not get the tablet to stay in a vertical position; it seems to have differently shaped sides than the top & bottom. Overall, it is a great buy; you can't go wrong at this price.

Pros:
Fits Galaxy Tab 10.1 very well
Soft rubber prevents any rubbing, especially when the tab is flush with the keyboard for storage.
Bluetooth pairing was fast and easy, no problems so far, even in a very bluetooth-cluttered business area.
Looks great, friend remarked that it looked "like something Apple would make". To my discerning eye it's not up to "Apple" quality, but it looks nice, not cheap.
Cons:
Keyboard is cramped, as expected. At this size the keys are smaller than normal, takes a bit of getting used to.
Tablet doesn't lock into the keyboard. It fits and rests nicely when standing up or laying flat for storage, but there's nothing keeping the 2 parts together, would have been nice to have that, but works for me.
Flip out strip on the bottom (to angle the keyboard up slightly) feels a bit flimsy, we'll see if it holds up.

I have a Samung Galaxy 2 10.1 Tab. All the reviews didnt seem to point to my device. I got it anyway and it is an Amazing product. turns mt tab into a great near laptop device i wanted in the first place.

This item is a perfect companion for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 - The tablet fits neatly together with the keyboard and protects the glass screen when transporting. The keyboard is very lightweight and was simple to pair the bluetooth. It's a little difficult to seperate the keyboard from the tablet at first, but once you get used to it... no problem.
